Walter Charles Williams, 78, of Henrico, NC passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017.

He was born in Clark County, Washington to the late Harold and Elsie Bridgett Lytle Williams.

In 1956, Walter enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Following his four years of military service he went to work for Civil Service at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in a teaching position. In 1964 he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to work for IBM. He traveled worldwide for IBM, retiring with 34 years of service.

Walter is survived by his wife, Frances; his son, James Williams (and wife Katherine); his daughter, Sharon Alford (and husband Robert); and four grandchildren, Sarah and Rebecca Williams, and Matthew and Preston Alford.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.
